Community Display: Windsor Workers’ Action Centre

April 23, 2024 - May 12, 2024

WFCU Eco-Lounge, 3rd floor

The Windsor Workers’ Action Centre is a community organization of workers, retired workers, students and activists committed to improving the lives and working conditions of people in non-union, low-wage and/or unstable employment.

Our goal is to ensure that all workers understand and are able to exercise their rights to be treated with dignity and fairness. We seek to bring workers together by providing a physical and cultural space in which they can discuss their situations, debate solutions, and experience cultural programming and workshops including films, readings, music and visual art.

We endeavour to create contexts in which workers can create and discover their common interests, and get organized!

This community display features work created by community members who participated in AWE’s Weekends in the Studio program. Weekends in the Studio is generously supported by Anne Safranyos and Family.
